Four Decorative “American Eagle” Brass Curtain Tiebacks
c. 19th Century, American Eagle Curtain Tiebacks, Two Matched Pairs, Brass, Choice Extremely Fine.
Two matched Pair Sets (4 total) of decorative patriotic 19th Century Vintage Brass American Eagle figural Curtain Tiebacks. The classic early American Eagle design features a ribbon with “E Pluribus Unum” held in the Eagle’s beak, surrounded by 13 Stars representing the original 13 colonies. The disc of each tieback measures about 2.5” in diameter with the central Eagle medallion about 1.25” in diameter. These tiebacks measure about 3.5” in deep length. The Eagle is embossed brass with hollow interior, the backing is a separate joined piece and the stem is cast brass. The wood screw ends are about .5” long. This lot is Two Matched Pairs which is excellent for either actual use or for display. (4 tiebacks)
