Description
DESCRIPTION: Richard DeVore (American, 1933-2006). Early experimental ceramic openwork bowl with multi-color and gilt glazes. PROVENANCE: Private collection. Acquired directly from the artist while DeVore was the ceramics master at Cranbrook Academy of Art. The consignor was attending Kingswood School Cranbrook and her father, Glen Paulsen, was president of the Academy and head of the Architecture Department at the time. Received by the consignor's parents during her father's time as president of the Academy. MEASUREMENTS: 10" diameter at widest point x 4" high. CONDITION: Small 1/4" repair chip to rim.
