SIGNED by Laurents on a bookplate affixed to the front free endpaper. GYPSY, often named as one of the greatest musical plays ever created, was performed on Broadway 702 times. Jerome Robbins' choreography is also considered some of his very best work. This libretto is the source for the hit movie musical GYPSY which was produced in 1962 starring Ethel Merman and Natalie Wood and directed by Mervyn LeRoy.
