EMILE CORIOLAN HIPPOLYTE GUILLEMIN (France, 1841-1907) - "Ave Imperator Morituri te Salutant" (We who are about to die, salute you!), cast bronze, unsigned, titled on plate on base, a portrait of a Mirmillo, one of the classes of Roman Gladiators, who fought with the Gadius sword and a shield. Roughly 35" x 15" x 10". Very good condition.
