English oak flat top tall case clock, 8 day brass and silvered dial signed Watkin Owen, Llanrwst, a prolific Welsh clockmaker of the 18th c, case with inset fluted quarter columns, on bracket base, wood shafted pendulum needs repair, with 2 cast iron weights, 80 1/2" h, bonnet is fixed to the case, movement is accessed from rear through a hinged panel, Overall size of dial- 13 1/4". Width of case- 13 3/4". Cut out bracket base applied later, original ends of case visible from underneath, they have some rot.
