Description
This print comes from a painting by C. Burton of Park Row. A white dog with brown spots draws the eye to the bottom right, directing the viewer down the street. The sun brightens the way, illuminating the cobble and bringing to attention the white and red brick building fronts. Various men and women in period dress can be seen along the sidewalk. It is a re-struck lithograph "View of Park Row, NY", d. 1830. The upper right corner reads, "Copyright Campbell Prints. Inc., New York (#8596)" The base of the image reads, "DRAWN BY C. BURTON ENGRAVED BY Wm D SMITH." The title reads, "VIEW OF PARK ROW. NEW YORK. 1830." Mounted and framed.
