Incredible and rare sterling wall plaque marked Gorham and #4870 twice, dating it to 1900. Please note Gorham did not start marking Martele until 1906 and this is believed to be early Martele. Twelve precious stones and eight small turquoise stones. Center enamel plaque has courting couples at outdoor luncheon. Four small plaques with courting couples and four small cherub plaques. Nine enamel plaques total. Scalloped and gadroon interior borders. Embossed fruit and floral motif. Exterior border has embossed shells with scalloped acanthus leaves. Truly a masterpiece 19w x 12.5h Approximately 45 ozt
