Antique Austro-Hungarian Ladies Traveling Inkwell with Bronze Ladies Profile Medallion on deep green soft leather covered base. The insignia on the lid of the inkwell has a dolphin around a anchor (the symbol of Festina lente). At one side is the word PRIV and a double headed eagle. Priv. (patented) and the double eagle were the marks of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Push button, works. Also included in this lot is a boxed Antique Leroy W. Fairchild, New York retractable gold and MOP dip pen, in excellent condition. The pen is a #9, the nib a #2. Retracts and opens smoothly. PROVENANCE: A Private Charleston SC Estate.
