Large group of mostly political content correspondence, all addressed to to Charles B. Cooke, Jr. variously as President and Editor of the Richmond Evening Journal, President of the Virginia Game & Game Fish Protective Association, and President of the Civic Improvement League. Boasts Four autograph letters and five typewritten letters all signed "W.J. Bryan." Imprinted stationery used by Bryan includes "The Commoner," "W.L. Moody & Co. Bankers," and his own "William Jennings Bryan" letterhead. Dates span 1907 through 1909. Sizes from one page oblong 8vo to a four page 4to. Content includes Bryan's campaign fund raising, platform strategy, Vice Presidential candidates, and Congressional candidates, among others. Accompanied by a bevy correspondence [nearly all typewritten letters] to Cooke spanning 1896 to 1933 from notable businessmen and Virginia state and federal politicians including: Richard Evelyn Bird, Harry Flood Byrd, Carter Glass, Carlton McCarthy, W.G. Conrad, J. Taylor Ellyson, John Garland Pollard, Claude A. Swanson, Millard E. Tydings, and others. With a few additional Cooke ephemera items. In total, over 30 letters.

Condition varies widely with defects including: toning, soiling, stains, fold wear, and losses at edges. Dimensions: Largest (4to) - 11.00 " H x 8.50 " W. smallest (8vo) - 6.50 " H x 5.12 " W.
