Comprises 1.) Three oblong 16mo printed pink card stock tickets for various republican events, from October 22nd to November 3rd, leading up to the 1888 Presidential Election. Locations throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. Speakers include: William McKinley, Robert Ingersoll, James G. Blaine, General Sheridan, and others. 2.) Printed pamphlet "1888 Directions For Voters," four page, 16mo, pub. Kings County Republican Campaign Committee, New York, N.Y., 1888. 3.) 16mo printed green ink card stock ticket "Grand Meeting / Irish Protectionists / At Madison Square Garden (Bet. 26th and 27th St.s and Madison Ave.) Thursday Evening, October 25th, 1888 / Hon. James G. Blaine..." Bears written and rubber stamp inscriptions. 4.) 16mo Printed handbill. Recto bears a portrait with text above "James G. Blaine's" and below "Appeal to the Irish Voters." Verso contains a two paragraph synopsis of Blaine's appeal to convince Irish-Americans not to vote for the Democratic Party. 5.) "Republican Nominations / The People's Choice!" doubled-sided printed 16mo card stock. Recto bears color vignette of the U.S. flag above endorsements of Harrison and Morton. Verso bears portrait of James G. Blaine above a statement for protection of American laborers.
