Item Details

Description

Cylindrical accordion-style paper lantern with cardstock ring at top and cardstock disc at bottom bearing candle-holder. Suspended on likely-original wire. Sides hand-stenciled in red and blue, "Hayes and Wheeler".

Condition

Fair condition. Mold damage to cardstock ends. Top edge of paper largely separated, and various small holes present at folds in paper. Otherwise remarkably intact. Paper exhibits mild age toning. Dimensions: Open (approximately) - 7.13 " H x 12.75 " W. Provenance: The Estate of Dr. Alan York
