An Egyptian scarab set in an antique 18k gold ring. The steatite scarab, New Kingdom, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, with dedication to Amen-Re and amuletic name of pharaoh Thutmose III and set in an attractive 18k gold ring with lotus flowers on the shoulder. Very attractive and wearable with a ring size of about 7. Ex-Northern California private collection, with accompanying purchase letter from Mohamed Sayed and Mahmoud Faraq, Cairo, dated April 23,1924.
