Bronze Mounted Sevres Porcelain Jewelry Box, 18th c., the domed lid with a gilt framed reserve after Sigmund Freudenberger (1745-1801), "Le Soldat en Semestre," so labeled underneath, with a Sevres mark with a "B" within, over an "L," with gilt enameled decoration overall, on a cobalt ground, two sides with gilt framed landscape paintings, the ends with gilt enamel bows and garlands, H.- 5 in., W.- 10 5/8 in., D.- 6 1/8 in.

Condition consistent with age and use. Moderate wear and tears are noted throughout the cloth lining, which is pulling away from the box. Scattered oxidation is observed on the bronze frame on the edges of the lid and the base. A slight separation is seen between the lid and the base on the back right corner. Moderate craquelure is observed throughout. Moderate wear is noted to the gilt on the bottom and top edges. Heavy wear is seen to the gilt near the hinge. A hairline crack is noted near the back left corner of the top. An elegant example.
