Description
Pair of Edwardian Ebonized Armchairs, c. 1900, in the Regency style, each with a carved crest with a musical motif panel, joined by flat arms to the cushioned caned seat, raised on tapering circular legs with toupie feet, H.- 32 in., W.- 20 1/4 in., D.- 18 1/2 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Heavy wear is observed to the front edges of the arms. Light to moderate wear is seen throughout the painted decoration. The arms are slightly loose. One seat is caved in. An approximate 10 inch break is seen in the other seat and scattered small breaks are observed on the sides. Two vertical approximate 2 inch cracks are noted on the top of one leg. An intriguing pair.
