Second half 19th century, the curved back elaborately carved with rope molding and twisted floral and ribbon garlands, issuing acanthus-carved arms raised on cornucopia supports flanking an outcurved padded seat, the seat, back and armrests upholstered in burgundy velvet, raised overall on tapering channeled legs terminating in foliate-clad feet, est: $2000/3000

Condition
Overall good condition, with general wear, scratches, nicks, losses to finish and separation at joints commensurate with age. Scattered minor losses to carved elements, the largest approximately 1'' x 1'' to knees of each center front leg. A repaired split to right verso leg. Previously re-gilt.
