20th century, blue underglaze crosed swords mark, incised ''A1134'' and ''114'', titled to base ''Peter Schlemihl'', after the figure designed by Willy Muench-Khe, depicting a man walking briskly against the wind, a cane under one arm, on an integral naturalistically modeled base, 10.25'' H x 7'' W x 4'' D, est: $1000/1500
Note: Peter Schlemihl is the titular character of Adelbert von Chamisso's (1781-1838 German) 1813 narrative story about a man who sells his shadow. Provenance: Private Collection, Victorville, CA
