Description
Hopi Indian Nation, Native American, Arizona, ca. 1970. Colorful wooden dance implement called a lightning stick. Probably pine or cottonwood painted in red, black, green, gold and white. This was exhibited in 1984 at the Museum of Northern Arizona, Flagstaff at a Hopi Craftsman Exhibition - tag attached. Created by Harvey Quanimptewa, noted Native American artist. Size: 29.25" L (74.3 cm)
