Nicknamed ''Mr. Swing'', Norvo performed with countless musical greats during a career that spanned the swing and bebop eras, lasting from the 1920s to the 1980s. Among his notable collaborators were: Paul Whiteman, Benny Goodman, Mildred Bailey, Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Frank Sinatra, and Dinah Shore. These photographs have been retained by Norvo's family since his death in 1999, and are now offered to the public for the first time.
