A GEORGE II BRASS-MOUNTED AND BURR WALNUT MUSICAL LONG CASE CLOCKMID-18TH CENTURY, THE DIAL SIGNED THOMAS POTT, ST JAMES'S ST., LONDON. The dial with silvered chapter ring incorporating subsidiary calendar aperture and second dial and the arch with signature cartouche and strike silent and tune selector dials, the movement with three train anchor escapement and striking hours and tune at the quarters on eight bells, contained in a burr walnut case within architectural cresting, three brass ball finials, free-standing brass stop fluted columns to the hood, and the arched waist doors veneered well-figured timber outlined with giltwood molding, the whole raised on a plain plinth with molded base with pendulum and weights, with restorations to the hood, the tune selection dial later.
