ASSORTED METAL SEWING BIRD CLAMPS, LOT OF TWO, cast and stamped metal, c-form clamp with foliage ornamentation, comprising an example with wings stamped "PATENTED" and "FEB. 15, 1853"; remaining example unmarked. Third quarter 19th century. 5 5/8" H, 3 1/2" W and 4" H, 3" W.
Good condition, Waterman example replaced lower pin cushion holder and fabric, remaining example lacking tip on threaded screw, pin cushion fabric with deterioration.
Provenance: Property of the late Joann Bowen.
