Short, hand written ALS, sent by Cole's City Dispatch P.O., Juny 27th 1848. Large double circle date stamp in brownish red ink, full struck on folded letter, written and signed by Horace Greely. Very Fine, ex-Kapiloff and Golden collections. Editor of the Ne York Tribune, unsuccessful candidate for the presidency in 1872, losing to Ulysses S. Grant and dying before the electoral votes were cast. Rare signature. Suggested bid $350
