This baby rattle is a wonderful novelty made by the Georg Jensen Silversmiths Company of Denmark. The rattle is made of sterling silver and appears to be in unused condition. There are no monograms or other engravings on the baby rattle. The large silver bell has a noise maker inside of it giving a pleasant ring that will certainly get the baby's attention. The top of the bell has piercings in the silver that form part of the design motif. Where the bell attaches to the teether there is a repousse floral design looking like a flower calyx that almost makes the rattle appear like the bell is a flower bud. The rattle is marked with the Georg Jensen logo and "925S Denmark" on one side and the numbers "67 X10" on the reverse side. The teether is a white color material. Earlier Georg Jensen advertising finds the teether being described as made of white faux tooth. The fitted box for the baby rattle is all white with "Georg Jensen" and the Jensen logo and signature stamped in silver on the hinged lid. The baby rattle fits snugly in a velvet type, off white fabric covered slot. The box is in very good condition for its age.
