French, early 20th century. A Neoclassical style French figural patinated bronze and sienna marble mantle clock, with figural Napoleon Bonaparte (French, 1769-1821) crossing the Alps on horseback after the painting "Napoleon Crossing the Alps"-1801 by noted French artist Jacques-Louis David (French, 1748-1825) mounted to apex, figure clad in draping cloak, with right arm raised in gesture to his men and in declaration of fated victory, with inscriptions to base that mimic inscriptions to original painting "Bonaparte", "Annibal", "Carolus Magnus MP", the bronze figure mounted to sienna marble slab, further mounted to egg and dart bronze molding, clock dial at center with Roman Numerals and banjo hands set behind a domed glass hinged door, clock surrounded by bronze foliates, with acanthus leaf tip collar, with sienna marble plinth base, with bronze block feet, movement marked "T.N.", "V14846", 520-205 3", clock face indistinctly marked possibly "Aug March and Rue Richelieu", underside inscribed "Made in France". Overall approximately 16.25" 7.25" x 5.25"..
