Continental, possibly Italian, first half 19th century. An eight sided paint decorated and giltwood wall mirror of oblong form with carved shell forms to either narrow end, raised molding surrounding the pieced looking glass with a second molding band around a central carved and painted wood rosette. Mounted for vertical hanging, but could be made horizontal. Unmarked. Approximate height 36", width 16.25".
