Finely rendered figural pastoral landscape painting depicting a seated man and standing peasant woman near a group of cattle or cows in the foreground, with a barn and small village dotted with verdant trees in the midground and a mountain ridge in the distance, with cumulous clouds in blue skies overhead. Framed approximately 27.25" x 33.5". Unframed approximately 18" x 24.125".

Painting is relined. Overall with craquelure. Minor scattered inpainting detected in trees at left and right and at lower right corner.
