Description

Mahogany Georgian Irish 8 day tall case clock with square brass dial signed Charles Craig, Dublin, c 1770-90, scroll top bonnet with flame finial, foliate and lion head carved band above door, arched waist door, all on bracket base, some moldings loose and need gluing, movement for restoration, with weights, 91" tall, 13 1/4" at waist, Front feet are probably replaced. Rear flared French feet appear to be original. Waist door with 1/2" W patch on face up left side, the lock replaced, inside of door with 19th century Philadelphia repair label d. 1879. Molding at top of waist loose needs to be reset. Back boards appear to be original. Movement heavily caked with dirt appears to be on original seat board. Early Philadelphia repair label on top of base board. Comes with crank, door key, and waist door key.
