ENGLISH PEARLWARE CERAMIC BUST OF HANDEL, polychrome decorated with molded bust on a faux-marbled base, impressed "HANDEL" on back of base. Unmarked. Together with one blue and white underglaze blue decorated pipe. Two pieces total. Staffordshire. late 18th century. 9" H.
Very good visual condition, several minor flakes and wear to edges on base, bust was cleanly separated from base and neatly reattached. Pipe undamaged.

Provenance: Property of a Connecticut family.
Catalogue Note: This molded design is traditionally associated with the models made by Ralph Wood.
