BRITISH CUT-AND-PASTED DOUBLE SILHOUETTE OF MOTHER AND CHILD, full-length depiction of facing figures, the younger holding a small leafy branch, the older holding an open book, inscribed "Gilbertson (?) Gallery" lower left, with watercolor and gilt highlights. Housed under glass in a period rosewood frame with gilt liner. Second quarter 19th century. 11 1/4" x 8 5/8" sight, 17" x 14 1/2" OA.
Minor toning and discoloration. Frame with minor wear. Not examined out of frame.

Provenance: From the Elizabeth S. Loker estate collection, Royal Oak, MD.
