Description
A Russian gilded silver and guilloché enamel open salt, St Petersburg, circa 1908-1917. Of cushion form, enameled steel blue over a wavy engine-turned ground, the upper rim with a band of opaque white enamel, raised on spreading circular foot. Cyrillic maker's mark "PiK" (probably for 'P and Co.') of an unidentified workshop or retailer. Diameter: 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm).
