Consists of freeform floral wreath motif in 18K yellow gold inset with an 8-lobed, symmetrically scalloped pearl & diamond ornament in silver on a gold backing. Centerpiece most likely an early 18th c. piece from a larger ensemble then set into a 20th c. lost wax cast gold frame. Centerpiece: 1 peg-set pearl surrounded by 12 old mine-cut diamonds surrounded by 8 old mine-cut diamonds followed by 8 scallops each bead-set with 3 old mine-cut diamonds & 2 rose-cut melee diamonds, followed by 8 old mine-cut diamonds situated on the circumference between the scallops. Total weight of diamonds: 2.24 ct. Mount weight: 2.53 grams.
