Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Chinesco and Nayarit, ca. 200 BCE to 200 CE. Hand built tripod terracotta bowl adorned with "Greek key" pattern on interior in red on orange ground, replete with manganese deposits. Accompanied by a sweet and petite olla, painted in a red and cream bichrome finish, with rich manganese. Size of largest: 6.75" W x 2.75" H (17.1 cm x 7 cm)
Provenance: Ex-private Olan collection, California, by family descent, acquired 1960 to 1970.
