Description
Egyptian, Late Period, Dynasty 26 through 30, ca. 664 to 343 BCE. A solid, bronze cast figure depicting the goddess Isis seated with her feet together, holding her son, Horus, on her lap, with her right hand to her breast, wearing a tightly fitted sheath that accentuates the contours of her form,broad collar, and striated tripartite wig, with a vulture headdress and a cobra-circlet modius supporting a solar disk framed by cow horns, cradling her nude divine son Horus, who wears a uraeus and the side lock of youth. Gorgeous green patina. Size: 1.5" W x 4.25" H (3.8 cm x 10.8 cm)
