Description
MICHAEL JACKSON WORN BASEBALL JERSEY A baseball cream, black and red jersey with 'Jacksons' in red embroidered with a star across the chest. The jersey was worn during celebrity duels with the Jacksons, the Gordy's and other celebrities in the 1970's Condition Report: Very good, has a small stain. Provenance: Given to Dick Clark of American bandstand and was collected from Dick Clark in person at his Los Angeles office from the Fame Bureau staff. This was to be earmarked for a future auction before Dick Clark's untimely death. Supplied with a signed coa from Ted Owen of the Fame Bureau. Ted Owen - is the Chief Executive of the Fame Bureau and is recognised as one of the World's leading experts in Music Memorabilia and has been at the top of his field for 30 years. In 1988 Ted took over as Head of Department for Phillips, Entertainment section. After years of successful sales he was headhunted by Bonhams to expand and head up their entertainment department. During this period he organised the first ever all-Elvis sale in Vegas and Berlin. He then went on to organise the first via-Satellite Beatle auction broadcast from Tokyo to London incorporating for the first time Live internet bidding. Breaking new boundaries he then successfully started Fleetwood Owen with Mick Fleetwood from Fleetwood Mac which then evolved when Cliff Cooper and Ted founded the Rock Auction business Cooper Owen. During these years, Ted consigned and brought to auction John Lennon's Imagine piano which sold to George Michael for £1.5million and broke all records with the sale of the Beatles lyrics 'All You Need is Love' for a price that is still unsurpassed to this day
