The poster was likely produced in the aftermath of Khrushchev’s visit to Delhi at the end of 1955.
Stanislav Zabaluyev was a graduate of the Penza Technical School for Arts, and of the Moscow Art Institute (class of 1955), where he studied under Mikhail Cheremnykh. He worked for various Moscow publishers, producing posters and getting good reviews for his book illustrations. The artist died at the young age of 38.
