Description
With IDs. This lot consists of a fully jointed cat and a small lamb. The cat is Steiff's largest version of its Kitty cat. She is 10 inches tall, fully jointed, and made from off white mohair which has darkened a touch over time. Her back, arms, legs, tail, and the sides of her head are airbrushed with gray highlights and black stripes. She has black and green slit pupil eyes and a pink hand embroidered nose and mouth. She retains her original clear mono-filament whiskers and pinkish ribbon. This example is from the mid to late 1950's. Kitty retains her chest tag (which has been repaired and is pinned on), legible ear yellow tag, and button in ear as her Steiff IDs. The second item is a sweet version of Steiff's classic and beloved Lamb. She is 4 inches tall, standing, unjointed, and made from white wool plush which has some worn areas. She has green and black glass pupil eyes, a red hand embroidered nose and mouth, felt ears, and gentle airbrushing on her feet and face. She retains her original pink ribbon and bell. This particular lamb was made in the 1959-1967 timeframe. Condition: As noted. Both with playwear but in good condition overall. Size Largest: 10" L.
