Description

French Three Piece White Marble and Gilt Brass Figural Clock Set, c. 1900, time and strike, by Samuel Marti, the painted enamel dial drum clock with an urn surmount, on an ormolu mounted marble stand flanked by winged putti with floral garlands, on a stepped kidney form base, on disc feet, together with a pair of matching three light candelabra on square stepped bases, Clock- H.- 14 1/2 in., W.- 10 1/2 in., D.- 4 3/4 in., Candelabra- H.- 10 1/4 in., W.- 8 3/4 in., D.- 4 1/2 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age and use. Mild losses to the gilt decoration are noted throughout. There is an ormolu loss at the base at center and other ormolu appears loosened. A green colored patina is observed with some notable consistency to both candelabra at the interior of the candle cups, but also appearing on the bobeches, scrolled foliate arms, socle and at base trim. A lovely presentation. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD "AS IS."
