Two Bronze Censers The first is of standard gui-form, consisting of an everted mouth rim atop a compressed ovoid body supporting the twin beast-head handles which separate the decorative panels depicting chilong with a central flange decoration; the second is of melon-form with upright handles formed by fruiting vines and raised on spreading tripod feet. Qing Dynasty Wider: 6 3/8 inches (16.2 cm) Provenance:Private Minneapolis, Minnesota Estate, and thence by descent within the family to the current owner. [Overall wear, small losses]
