First published in 1828, all editions are scarce. The author was a scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge. "The object of the first volume is to make the text of the Principia, by supplying numerous steps in the very concise demonstrations of the propositions, and illustrating them by every conceivable device . The second volume is designed to form a sort of Appendix or Supplement to the Principia. It gives the principal discoveries of La Place and serves as an introduction to his Mécanique Celèste." - Babson 130.
