Date:late 18th Century/early 19th century
Medium:white jade
Dimensions:2.25 inches tall
Provenance:Acquired by James D. Hague (1836-1908) upon travels to China. By descent through The James D. Hague Family Estate. Hague was the founder and owner of the North Star Gold Mine in Grass Valley, California. It was the second most productive gold mine in California, second only to The Empire Mine.
Condition
In generally good condition, apart from: lower segment of branch broken off (attached at monkey's fist), some accumulation of surface dirt, very minor chipping (apparent to touch, barely visible) near the edges of the leaves of remaining branch segment.
