(1856 - 1915) American writer, editor and printer, founded the Roycroft Press to produce high-quality artistic books, went down on the Lusitania. D.S. "E.G. Hubbard", 1p., 6 1/2" x 2 3/4", Buffalo, April 1, 1904, a check from the Marine National Bank of Buffalo, paying $625 to the 3rd National Bank. Signed by Hubbard in black ink at lower right. Stamped paid, affecting part of the signature, else very good.
