Beautiful $1000 bond certificate from the Mexican Central Railway Company Limited, dated July 1, 1881, 14 ?"x10," payable in 1911. Ornate border around it, with a vignette of the Mexican Snake and Eagle coat of arms. Signed by the company president and clerk. Printed by the American Bank Company, New York and Boston. Comes with 39 of its original 40 coupons. The railway was incorporated in Massachusetts in 1880, opening the main line in March, 1884 linking Mexico City to Ciudad Juarez, across from El Paso. Fine
