SIGNED "IRAQI MOST WANTED" DECK OF CARDS
Deck of playing cards, a licensed reproduction of the cards issued to U.S. military personnel during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Of the fifty-two cards in this deck, thirty-seven have been signed by the individuals they depict while in captivity. These include: ALI HASAN AL-MAJID (1941-2010), better known in the west as "Chemical Ali"; Deputy Prime Minister TARIQ AZIZ (1936-2015), and HUDA SALIH MAHDI AMMASH (b. 1953), an American-educated biochemist known as "Mrs. Anthrax" for her alleged role in Iraq's biological weapons program, and the only woman represented in the deck. Ammash's card describes her as a "WMD Scientist"; the back is inscribed: "Leadership? Yes - Scientist? Indeed - But WMD??!! By NO means. A truth that'll shine one day - By the grace of God not far away - Dr. Huda S. Ammash, Baghdad, IRAQ". Ammash was later acquitted and released. One signer, former Oil Minister AMIR RASHID MUHAMMAD, has removed the symbols from the corner of his card, as gambling was an affront to his religious beliefs. The joker has been signed and inscribed by the man who collected the signatures, a member of the National Front of Iraqi Intellectuals. Many of the individuals who signed these cards were later executed or sentenced to life imprisonment. A unique relic of our very recent history. Fine.
