There are areas of gilt loss or fading throughout the lid, body, and underplate. Each piece also sustains various minor shallow darkened surface scuffs to the exterior. The rim of the body bears a 1.5" area of what appears to be gilt overpainting. The underside of the underplate sustains a light scuffing as a result of resting on a surface. The edge of the underplate bears a number of fleabite chips throughout.
