Hand colored lithograph showing several ladies shopping for chickens at Cincinnati's Findlay Market, done by Rookwood Pottery artist E.T. Hurley in 1917. Signed and dated by the artist in the plate in the lower left corner and marked on the reverse in pencil To be reversed, NFS (not for sale) and marked with the artist's monogram and the 1917 date. This descended in the artist's family and was not meant for sale. The hand coloring is atypical, being in more pastel shades than is usually seen. Findlay Market remains a popular Cincinnati landmark. Image size is 9 3/4 inches by 12 1/2 inches. There are no condition issues.
