Description
Standard glaze pitcher decorated with a kneeling imp that is partially obscured by streaks of Tigers Eye, the work of Harriet Wilcox in 1890. Marks include the Rookwood logo, which indicates the date, shape 259 B, an impressed W for White clay, an incised LY for Light Yellow (Standard) glaze and the artist's incised initials. There are two tight lines on the handle, one vertical, one horizontal, a few open glaze bubbles on the back of the piece and some small stray pieces of clay that accumulated in the bottom of the pitcher. Height is 8 inches.
