Description: Modern Abstract art, using geometric shapes welded together. One of the most important projects Mr. Kralik was involved in was the construction of a huge bronze horse. It is a true labyrinthine tale that started 500 years ago with Leonardo da Vinci and a horse. Not just any horse, but a 24-foot-tall bronze charger that Leonardo conceived but never completed. Today, a full-scale model of the horse stands frozen mid-stride, veins popping, muscles bulging, in Milan, Italy, thanks to the efforts of M. J. Kralik and several other artists.


History: Kralik, who recently stepped down as the Lehigh Art Alliance president, has been immersed in the arduous end of the visual arts for more than 40 years. He is a sculptor who works in stainless steel. Yet he was an English major at West Chester University, so it’s likely that no one would have predicted such an outcome.
