(lot of 2) Exhibition standard display 1/8 scale replica model of the W. & A. McOnie designed single inclined oscillating cylinder 10 hp stationary engine, original circa 1850, built by A. Walshaw No.360 with unlagged cylinder 1 1/16" bore x 3" stroke, overmounted and longitudinally offset valve chest with separate steamways, and cast inlet and exhaust ports, the slide valve operated by an eccentric driven curved slide with round guides, the die block connected to a quadrant and rocking lever, the valve spindle with tail shaft guide. The cylinder, supported by bearings mounted in curved trunnions and with adjustable steam glands, the piston rod with gibbed and cottered bearing is directly connected to the crankshaft which is in turn supported by bearings mounted on pierced frames, housed in a custom case, 17.5"h x 18.5"w x 14.5"d; together with a blue print for the steam engine
