1834-Dated “Andrew Jackson” Signed Autograph Clip
ANDREW JACKSON (1767-1845). Seventh President of the United States (1829–1837), a Politician and Army General who defeated the Creek Indians at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend (1814), and the British at the Battle of New Orleans (1815).
April 25, 1834-Dated, Autograph Clip Signed, “Andrew Jackson,” about 5.5” x 1.5” being clipped from a larger document, matted with an engraving of Jackson, image size about 2.5” square, framed to an overall size of 10.75” x 14.75”, Fine. The Autograph has a vertical tear in the center through the “J” in Jackson, but now mounted to prevent any further separation. Paper shows normal age toning and Jackson’s signature is large and bold measuring a huge 4.75” long. Engraved portrait above is in excellent condition.
