Description
Europe, Venice, Italy, ca. 1520s to 1530s CE. A printed hymnal leaf in red and black from "Sacerdotal ad Consuetudinem Sacro Sancte," printed on both sides in Venice by German publisher Petri Liechtenstein. The front features a historiated 'D' in black depicting the Virgin Enthroned surrounded by saints and angels. The back side features an elaborately designed "h" in scarlet red beginning the word "haleluiah." Custom matte. Size: 15" L x 9.5" W (38.1 cm x 24.1 cm)
