Reginald Marsh (1898-1954) American painter, born in Paris, most notable for his depictions of life in New York City in the 1920s and 1930s. Crowded Coney Island beach scenes, popular entertainments such as vaudeville and burlesque, women, and jobless men on the Bowery are subjects that reappear throughout his work. This is an original 1953 lithograph Reginald Marsh which was designed to promote the Sheraton Hotel in New York City, located at 879 7th Ave. This lithograph is from IMPROVISATIONS. Noted artists drew directly on the lithographic plates. Each was used as an ad for various businesses. The proceeds went to Artists Equity. Sheet size is approx. 12 x 8-1/2. VG
